Puppy Mill Walk

Today in Northville Michigan, my husband and I particapated in the annual Puppy Mill Walk. Many different breeds and rescue groups came out to support the cause. To learn more about puppy mills, click on this link. http://stoppuppymills.org/inside_a_puppy_mill.html

Another One……..

My husband and I received a call from “Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue”, telling us about this one year old puppy that was attacked by another dog and they needed to get him into rescue and to the vet as soon as possible. We picked him up Wednesday night. Previously he was taken to an old school vet, that in effort to save his eye, they stitched three shirt buttons (yes, you read that correctly) to his eyelid. When we picked him up, he just didn’t look right, so the very next morning we took him to our vet to see what they could do for him.

You will notice in the first picture, there is no hair on his one eyelid, that’s where the shirt buttons were attached. Baxter is such a good puppy, and eager for it to stop raining so he can play outside.

Yes Baxter is up for adoption. It’s going to be very hard to say goodbye to this little guy when he gets adopted. Just to give a quick update, Baxter did end up loosing his one eye, however I don’t think he has noticed it’s missing, he gets around without problems. :-)
